Project Controls Apprenticeships and AWE
Projcon Group has an extensive and deep knowledge in Project Controls and has been sharing that on the Project Controls Institute platform for over two years. We are leaders in Project Controls education and delivery.
The Project Controls Institute has been actively participating in developing the Project Controls Apprenticeship standard for the last 18 months. Our organisation spearheaded its efforts in drafting the training content, mapped it against the SFA guidelines and managed to be the first UK training provider to deliver this Apprenticeship training.
The AWE contacted us to support them with their Project Controls Apprenticeship training. We engaged quickly and delivered immediate support to them in achieving this in the least possible time and within budget.
he Trailblazer apprenticeship is part of the UK Government’s Trailblazer programme that aims to establish new standards for apprenticeships. The Trailblazer programme is committed to reaching three million apprenticeship starts in England by 2020. The overall objective of the new apprenticeship standards is to ensure that apprenticeships are truly employer led. Standards are therefore designed by employers (Trailblazer groups) to meet their needs, the needs of their sector and the economy more widely. Each apprenticeship standard has an assessment plan produced by “Trailblazers”.
Apprenticeships already deliver real benefits to business and young people: new reforms aim to boost these even further. Individual apprentices achieve higher levels of qualification and increase their own employment prospects, productivity and wages.
The Project Controls Institute is actively engaged in developing Trailblazer Apprenticeship Standards and an approved training provider for delivering “Associate Project Manager” and “Project Controls Technician” apprenticeships. We have developed a unique approach to deliver these apprenticeships which includes training (Technical, Occupational and Software), assessment gateway review and end-point assessment. This approach develops competency and creates an environment that enables it to attract, develop and retain individuals who can contribute towards business objectives.
